It is one of the best works among a series of Decker recordings from the era of Vienna State Opera House music director. It makes use of the sound of bright orchestra and creates a firm classical beauty. Although it was rerecorded with the Berlin Philharmonic later on, it is still a highly valuable piece even though it was recorded 30 years ago.
